Plastic Patrol is an international not-for-profit organisation tackling plastic pollution.  They are ‘do-ers’ and with a passionate army of volunteers all over the world, supporting their mission, they are driving change towards a sustainable future that truly closes the loop on plastic pollution. Plastic Patrol combines community action, technology and science to clean up, understand and solve the plastic problem.

Plastic Patrol combines this community action with disruptive technology to gather important data for scientific research into plastic pollution. By crowdsourcing the distribution, type and quantity of plastic waste all over the world, through their cutting edge app, they are continuing to build a valuable evidence base to eradicate single-use plastic and stop it from destroying our planet. Plastic Patrol was set up in 2016 and has already made great strides to remove plastic waste from 30 countries around the World.

We want a future where our environment is not threatened by plastic.  A future where people and nature thrive.  A future for adventure and life free of pollution. Plastic Patrol and Lizzie Carr is an advocate of Water-to-Go and is encouraging followers to purchase one (using the code below) to reduce single-use plastic bottles and do our bit to protect the planet.

ABOUT PLASTIC PATROL plastic patrol Lizzie Carr, Founder In 2016 Lizzie Carr launched Plastic Patrol after seeing how flooded our waterways are with plastic pollution. She is a natural born adventurer and has dedicated herself to exploring the UK by paddle board, using her journey to highlight and educate on wider environmental issues affecting our land and waterways. Lizzie has also completed some amazing expeditions to highlight these issues. In May 2016 she became the first person in history to paddleboard the length of England’s waterways, solo and unsupported. In April 2018 Lizzie paddled the length of the Hudson River in America to highlight the plastic pollution issue globally. plastic patrol (1) Plastic Clean Ups Plastic Patrol organise clean-up’s all over the world to bring communities together, for people who want to do their bit and have a little adventure at the same time. The clean-ups can be inland or on our waterways. Every clean up, where plastic waste is seen, photographed and shared and then cleared away, helps our environment. Plastic Patrol began on a paddleboard but has grown to be a global movement of like-minded people working together on land and water to protect the environment we love. plastic patrol (2) Plastic Patrol app Plastic Patrol combines community action with disruptive technology to gather important data for scientific research into plastic pollution. By crowdsourcing the distribution, type and quantity of plastic waste all over the world, through their cutting edge app, they are continuing to build a valuable evidence base to eradicate single-use plastic and stop it from destroying our planet. A main aspect of Plastic Patrol is the citizen science using the Plastic Patrol app to collect data on plastic pollution. Plastic Patrol is also developing partnerships with businesses, organisations and individuals to raise awareness and help implement sustainable practices. F1030,F1008,F1018,F1029
