What is the Impact?

Our world has a serious problem with single-use plastic bottles. A million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute — that’s about 20,000 bottles every second. Only about 9% of those plastic bottles actually get recycled. Instead, they end up polluting our beaches and oceans and contributing to climate change.

Audley and Water-to-Go both believe everyone should be given the opportunity to drink clean water, free of single-use plastics that damage our environment.

In the last decade, Water-to-Go customers have helped keep 165 million plastic bottles out of landfills, beaches, and oceans. Water-to-Go water purifier bottles are an easy, sustainable, and economical way to get pure water while ensuring our planet’s health.

How does Water-to-Go support our ESG Framework?

To help us focus our conservation and sustainability efforts, we at Audley have created a framework with concrete goals based around certain principals. Our partnership with Water-to-Go helps us reach two of those goals: Life Below Water and Responsible Consumption and Production.

Life Below Water:

Using a reusable water bottle reduces marine plastic pollution. According to the UN, more than 17 million metric tons of plastic entered the ocean in 2021 alone. That’s projected to double or triple by 2040. Switching from single-use to multi-use bottles goes a long way towards conserving and preserving marine ecosystems.

Using four water bottles per day on a two–week trip results in throwing away 56 single-use plastic bottles. We’re encouraging our clients to use Water-to-Go bottles to help eliminate this extraordinary and unnecessary waste.

Responsible Consumption and Production:

We’re dedicated to promoting a sustainable, circular economy, rather than a linear economy that’s based on production, consumption, and disposal.

Single-use plastic pollutes our oceans and adds to ever-growing landfills. Meanwhile, plastic production consumes an astounding 8% of global oil production. If the entire lifecycle of plastic were a country, it would be the fifth-largest emitter of greenhouse gases in the world.
