“It’s time to give back to those who have so selflessly served our country.”– Louis Alexander
“I wish Louis the best of success on his latest inspirational and creative endurance challenge which is fundraising in aid of another great cause”
– Jordan Wylie (Extreme Adventurer & Bestselling Author)
Established in 2010, Walking With The Wounded, a military charity for ex-military in the UK, supports a pathway for disadvantaged veterans to re-integrate back into society and sustain their independence.
The charity support those who have served in the Armed Forces and their families, empowering them to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities. They continue to support our ex-service community, even at this difficult time, and also support the NHS.
They offer assistance through our programmes to those vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service and assist them in sustaining their independence through new sustainable careers outside of the military. This includes providing support to homeless veterans and veterans in the Criminal Justice System, areas which are too often ignored.
Walking With The Wounded is a fantastic charity that is doing life-changing work so it is great that this project is raising awareness and funds for the work that they do.
This isn’t the first time Louis has completed fundraising challenges for charity. Last year, he completed ‘Project 20 in 2020‘ – 20 self-organised challenges such as runs and cycles; all (coincidentally) at the age of 20. Despite the lockdown and restrictions, Louis still managed to complete the project by replacing some of the original challenges with a few virtual and solo events, such as running 10km every day of a month. Thanks to his perseverance and dedication to the project, he managed to raise over £20,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK, which was a fantastic achievement.
Once again, Louis will be able to stay well hydrated wherever he is with his Water-to-Go filter bottle. Thanks to the 3-in-1 technology in our filters, he can fill up from any tap or non-saltwater source on his challenges and instantly have access to safe, drinking water. Our filters eliminate up to 99.9999% of all microbiological contaminants including viruses, bacteria, chemicals and heavy metals from the water, whilst also allowing beneficial minerals through, meaning he will have access to the safest, healthiest water possible.
Furthermore, this means that Louis won’t need to use any single-use plastic water bottles which will reduce his carbon footprint on his challenges, as just 1 of our 75cl filters replaces 400 single-use plastic bottles.
If you want to donate towards Louis’ project and also get your hands on one of our filter bottles that Louis will be using; well now you can! Use the coupon code LOUIS15 to get 15% off any of our bottles and we will donate 15% of the sale to Walking With The Wounded. Check out our 50cl bottles and 75cl bottles.
The whole team at Water-to-Go wishes Louis the very best of luck on his latest project and we hope you can all support him and the cause he is raising money for.
